Artist's Description
This abstract acrylic fluid art painting was actually deliberate. I knew when I started that I wanted to create this exotic flower in an abstract way. I studied several pictures closely to capture the colors that I saw in both the leaves and the flower itself. I also knew exactly what technique I wanted to use but had no idea if I was going to be successful. Fluid art is not the type of art you can count on to turn out the way you want. My first attempt was not successful but I definitely learned from my mistakes. This was my second attempt and to tell you the truth, I wasn't sure if I captured what was in my mind. But when I showed it to several people I could tell by their reaction that it was a big hit.
About Sue Goldberg
Welcome to my gallery! Allow me to introduce myself.... my name is Sue, I'm an artist living in the United States, based in Maryland. I started drawing people from comic books at the age of five. When I was about nine my mother encouraged me to take some oil painting classes at the local gallery where I grew up, near the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. I also took a drawing class in college at The University of Maryland where I learned how to draw nudes using charcoal. From 2017 through 2022 I focused primarily on fluid acrylic art. It gave me so much freedom to explore my creativity as an artist....a side of me that had been missing. However, I missed not doing any drawing so starting in 2023 I decided to go back to my original love...
